In Financial Management we improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the finance function and generate real insights to help deliver value to the business.(CFO Advisors). Our mission is to create a sustainable practice which is recognized as being number one in the industry for reviews, assessment, design, implementation and managed services for reviews, assessment, design implementation and managed services.

We are structured across the following capability areas:

- Finance Strategy and Transformation (FS&T)

  • - Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)

    - Efficient Finance Operations (EFO)

    We are looking to recruit a candidate at Director level with skills to support our growth strategy in the three capability offerings.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

Our Financial Management practice is a priority area for significant and strategic growth and the team works across multiple sectors, focussing on shaping Finance Strategy in line with Business Strategy and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of their Finance functions. In today’s environment, these functions must demonstrate their value to the business by producing insightful and timely reports, managing risk, reducing costs and maintaining financial controls.

The key drivers of change for our clients are growth, cost reduction and leveraging external and internal data for decision support. Our go to market approach is issues led and our propositions are structured around these client challenges.

It is critical candidates are willing to lead quality client delivery, business development and development of innovative offerings and thought leadership to challenge our clients thinking in this area. They also need to help drive a sales pipeline and build a team to help deliver engagements.

Our teams skill set ranges from Process Design to Technology implementation. We would be happy to discuss how your experience and future ambitions would fit into the range of roles we are creating.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent IT degree with hands on experience designing Finance Solutions in the aforementioned area; MBA from an accredited college/university. CPA/CA or other advanced professional credential is preferred
  • Deep finance function transformation knowledge and experience;
  • Strong understanding of business processes (particularly finance function), project management methodologies and leading practices
  • Leading responses to RPFs in the aforementioned areas
  • Finance function target operating model development and implementation
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience of proposal shaping, writing and presenting to clients
  • Experience of large scale project and program management/change management
  • Implementation experience
  • Experience in internal practice development; and Business development/sales experience essential
  • Building strong and lasting client relationships through excellent interpersonal skills
  • Business development: lead business development initiatives including co-ordinating bid proposal and contract/commercial management
  • Business development: creating and growing revenue from a deep cross sector and technical knowledge. Leading on client relationship development; business development and bid management
  • Engagement delivery: leading the delivery of highly complex programs and large projects drawing in multiple parts of the firm, including planning, managing and executing the delivery of engagements or projects, including responsibility for the review and quality assurance of deliverables
  • Internal risk management: identifying and managing risks, whilst maximizing profitability and ensuring the Firm's frameworks are implemented appropriately and effectively
  • Practice development: owning proposition development that is key to scaling the business
  • Working with the markets team to develop our key accounts and develop new service offerings
  • Ensures dissemination of own expertise throughout the team

    Practice development: taking the lead role in the design and development of thought leadership papers and innovative solutions

  • People development: identifying team member development needs and accelerating development with particular emphasis on coaching and skills transfer Writing quality client reports including findings and recommendations

  • Experience in some of the following: cost models, financial models, planning and budgeting, cash management, working capital improvement, Chart of Accounts design, cash to accrual and financial reporting

  • Experience in Telecoms, Construction, Public Sector and Postal Sectors would be an advantage
